Positive Regard, LLC combines the use of Applied Behavior Analysis technology with the humanistic theory of unconditional positive regard. "Positive Regard" is a term used by humanist psychologist Carl Rogers to describe showing complete support and acceptance of a person no matter what that person says or does.

 

He also suggested that individuals who don't have this type of acceptance from people in their life could eventually come to hold negative beliefs about themselves.

 

It is this approach of acceptance for who our consumers are regardless of their ability level or history that we start with.  Add to that the research based techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis and successful improvements are made in the consumer's quality of life.
